About Clive
Clive advises on the full range of intellectual property issues, dealing with the identification, securing and registration of intellectual property rights, their commercial exploitation in agreements and their enforcement through the Courts. He has a particular focus on brands, trade mark and passing off issues.

In addition, he advises on the full range of commercial contracts, with specific expertise in the sport, media and the creative industries and the work of charities and not for profit organisations.
Clive has published extensively on intellectual property and sports law matters, most recently contributing chapters on intellectual property in sport and licensing and merchandising agreements to the leading sports law text, “Sport: Law and Practice”, edited by Lewis & Taylor (Fourth Edition, Bloomsbury Professional, published 2021).
He has acted as a board director of Leeds Media and a trustee and chairman of Audiences Yorkshire, the audience development agency for the arts in the region, and has been a visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University.
