What is TUPE?

TUPE protects employees if the owner of a UK-based business changes hands or if a business or organisation decides to outsource part of its function and/or operation to a third party.

TUPE protects all employees regardless of the size of the business. Employees automatically transfer to the new employer on their existing terms and conditions of employment.
