Johanne Spittle is a Solicitor and Director at Lupton Fawcett. Johanne specialises in the resolution of commercial and property related disputes. She acts for a range of property owning clients including landed estates, farmers and agri businesses as well as commercial and residential landlords handling: possession claims; recovery of rent arrears; contested business lease renewals; dilapidations; property ownership disputes and the enforcement and protection of property rights including rights of way (public and private).
Johanne is also recognised for her experience in handling complex disputes in relation to interest rate derivatives and bank mis-selling claims representing a number of landowners, property owners and farming businesses . She represented the Claimants in the MacGregor v HSBC (2011) case which is believed to be the first such claim to go to trial in the High Court since the fall in interest rates reportedly left many businesses suffering the effects of allegedly mis-sold interest rate derivatives.
